Since 2014, he has completed advanced training in laser technology at prestigious institutions in Singapore, Denmark, India, and the United Kingdom, incorporating global expertise into his surgical practice.
Sachin is the founder of iSurgeon, a premium eye clinic focused on transforming surgical care through advanced medical technology. His leadership aims to enhance surgical procedures and promote best practices in healthcare.
Dedicated to equitable eye care, Sachin actively supports foundations and outreach programs that reduce cataract-related blindness. His mission is to restore sight and improve the quality of life for every patient.

Tina Desai
Practice Manager
Tina is a highly qualified optometrist with a wealth of experience in eye care. With comprehensive training in various ophthalmic procedures and practices, both locally and abroad, she has developed a diverse skill set that sets her apart.
She has a remarkable talent for making eye health accessible and engaging, ensuring her patients truly understand their vision in a way that’s both informative and easy to grasp.

Dr Angelika Carey
Ophthalmologist
Angelika finds deep purpose and fulfilment in helping patients regain their sight; bringing joy, confidence, and independence back into their lives. A thoughtful and conscientious surgeon, she earned her medical degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2012, followed by specialist training in ophthalmology in 2018, and completed her Fellowship in Ophthalmology with the College of Medicine of South Africa in 2023.
Her passion for accessible healthcare is evident in her volunteer work with cataract outreach programmes, where she provides life-changing surgery to patients in underserved areas.
Outside the operating room, Dr Carey is a mother of two boys and an avid animal lover. She channels her creativity through photography, sewing, and painting, reflecting the same care and precision she brings to her surgical practice.

Dr Kashmira Rawjee
Ophthalmologist
Kashmira is a skilled and compassionate ophthalmologist based in Johannesburg, South Africa. A graduate of Wits University (MBBCh, 2011) and a Fellow of the College of Ophthalmologists (2022), she is known for delivering expert care with warmth and empathy.
Her clinical focus lies in anterior segment surgery, with particular interest in cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease. Passionate about ocular microsurgery, Dr Kashmira continually updates her techniques to stay at the forefront of medical innovation.
Beyond the consulting room, she’s a proud mother who finds creative balance through contemporary dance, culinary exploration, and artistic expression; bringing a unique blend of precision and artistry to both life and medicine.

Dr Ron
Ophthalmologist
An accomplished ophthalmologist with extensive experience across Zimbabwe, Botswana, and South Africa, Dr Ron brings decades of surgical and clinical excellence to every patient he serves.
He holds a medical degree from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology from the University of Cape Town. His distinguished credentials include Fellowships with the College of Surgeons of South Africa (1997) and the College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa (2020).
Dr Ron further advanced his leadership expertise through the esteemed Physician CEO Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
As the founding physician and director of The Eye Institute, he currently oversees 10 eye units across Zimbabwe, driven by his passion for accessible, high-quality eye care across the region.

Dr Ashvira Moodley
Ophthalmologist
Ashvira is a dedicated general ophthalmologist with special interests in medical and surgical glaucoma, cataract surgery, and medical retina care. She earned both her medical degree and specialist ophthalmology training at the University of the Witwatersrand, achieving her Fellowship in 2019 and her Master of Medicine in 2020.
Renowned for her calm and compassionate approach, Dr Ashvira combines clinical expertise with a deeply patient-centred philosophy. Her commitment extends beyond the clinic—she plays an active role in registrar training and academic teaching, shaping the future of ophthalmology in South Africa.
