We are currently the first and only clinic in South Africa to offer the Zeiss Presbyond laser treatment to reduce your need for reading and distance glasses. iSurgeon has been accredited to train other surgeons in laser eye surgery.
All surgery is performed at the clinic in a dedicated procedure room with all the necessary safety standards.

Dr Sachin Bawa
OphthalmologistSachin is an ophthalmic surgeon who has been in private practice since 2011. His interests include cataract surgery, Laser vision surgery and keratoconus. He has been performing laser eye surgery since 2014, having had training in Singapore, Denmark, India and The United Kingdom.
He mentors and teaches younger colleagues in laser surgery. His mission is to democratize eye surgery.
Outside of private practice, he is involved with numerous foundations and outreach programmes, to assist in reducing the burden of cataract blindness.
He enjoys running and has completed the Comrades Marathon.

Dr Kashmira Rawjee
OphthalmologistKashmira Rawjee is a meticulous eye surgeon who strives to restore quality of vision to all her patients. She attained an MBBCh degree at Wits University in 2011 and attained her fellowship in Ophthalmology with the College of Medicine of South Africa in 2022. Her passion in the field is sparked by the intricacies of ocular microsurgery and she remains well-informed of the fascinating knowledge required to master the management of the various eye conditions. She has a special interest in the anterior segment of the eye including cataracts as well as glaucoma and diabetic eye conditions.
Dr Rawjee is mum to a handsome little boy and strives to keep a balance using contemporary dance, culinary experiments and getting creative.

Dr Angelika Carey
OphthalmologistAngelika Carey finds excitement and joy in returning vision to those who have previously been impaired.
She is a caring and conscientious surgeon who received her medical degree from the University of
Witwatersrand in 2012. She then went on to further her studies by specializing in ophthalmology in 2018 and then finishing her fellowship in Ophthalmology with the College of Medicine of South Africa in 2023.
In her spare time, she volunteers with cataract outreach programmes, helping patients in remote areas receive the life altering surgery.
Dr Carey is a mother of two boys and an animal lover. She is a photographer, enjoys sewing and painting.
