Got Questions?

Let’s clear things up.

Does medical aid pay for vision correction?

Vision correction procedures such as LASIK, Presbyond, ICL, and keratoconus treatments are self-funded, as medical aids classify them as elective. During your assessment, we’ll explain your options and provide clear costs upfront.

Is it safe?

All medical procedures carry some risk, but modern vision correction is highly refined and carefully monitored. We only recommend surgery if the benefits outweigh the risks for your individual eyes.

What does the assessment include, and what is the cost?

Your visit includes painless diagnostic scans and a consultation with a surgeon. The assessment has a fixed fee, and afterwards, you’ll receive transparent pricing for the procedure that suits your eyes.

Is vision correction painful?

Most patients describe only mild pressure or discomfort. Numbing drops are used, and the procedure is usually very quick. You may feel scratchiness or light sensitivity afterwards, which settles as the eye heals.

Am I too old for vision correction?

There is no single age cut-off. Instead, we look at overall eye health and the presence of cataracts or other conditions. For some patients, lens-based surgery may be more appropriate than laser.

How long does it take to recover?

Recovery times vary by procedure. Many laser patients see well within 24–48 hours, while other procedures may take longer. Your surgeon will explain what to expect in your specific case.
